About the Artist | Claudia Colombo

I have been painting for about 5 years in both an abstract and impressionist style. I began painting when my brother, who is also an artist, took me plein air painting in Truro. One day outdoors with those beautiful oil paints and I was hooked. I started taking art classes, workshops, following artists I loved and learning all I could about the world of art. I love to explore and play using acrylics, oils and all kinds of mixed media. The common theme in all the art that I create is joyful color. I love color in its most simple form; a painting with just a few strokes of color on a canvas can light up a room and transform a space. Color has the power to brighten someone’s day, bring back memories, or set a specific mood for a space. Visitors who walk into my studio consistently say that it feels like such a joyful place and the art makes them feel happy. I love sharing this passion and am thrilled that the art I create brings warmth and happiness into people’s lives.

I spend as much time as I can painting in my art studio at SOWA with my dog Bella. My studio is located at 450 Harrison Ave, suite 230, Boston MA, and is open on the first friday of every month, (First Friday) and most Sundays, (Sowa Sunday). I am also available by appointment during the week. Feel free to contact me at 978-886-3628.
